sculpture in the vinyards
Ryan and I went up to take down the works that I had up there - from a distance they were ok but close up the wood had taken on water and split in some places - So it was a valuable lesson that no matter how many times you prime something water can still get in. It was the first time that I have had something outside this long - so it was good to see how things weathered and to learn what I would do differently for next time. Basically I need to find a material that I am happy to work with and thats ok to leave outside - I guess wood will always weather and need attention so will have to look at other alternatives for future projects.
